Professional profile
Dr. Michal Chmúrny is an erudite orthopedist. He completed his medical studies at the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine in Martin. He passed the specialization exam in orthopedics at the Faculty of Medicine of the Comenius University in Bratislava in 2013. He started his professional career in 2007 as a secondary doctor at the University Hospital in Martin, where he still works at the Orthopedic Clinic. He is interested in degenerative and traumatic joint disorders. He specializes mainly in mini-invasive arthroscopic joint operations as well as total knee, hip and shoulder replacement with endoprosthesis.
Dr. Michal Chmúrny also works at private clinics in Martin and Zvolen, where he performs arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgeries as part of one-day healthcare.
He completed his postgraduate studies with a PhD degree at the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine in Martin in 2018. As an assistant professor, he actively lectures to Slovak and foreign students at the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine in Martin.
Doctor Chmúrny is a member of the Slovak Orthopedic and Traumatology Society, the Slovak Medical Chamber and the Slovak Society of Arthroscopy and Sports Traumatology.
