Professional profile
MSc. Petronela Forišek Paulová is a nutritional therapist and scientist. He conducts research at the Biomedical Center of the Slovak Academy of Sciences at the Institute of Experimental Endocrinology, where he primarily studies the relationships between nutrition, physical activity and the intestinal microbiome in patients with obesity and neurodegenerative diseases. In addition to his scientific work, he is professionally engaged in nutritional therapy in his own nutritional counseling center NellaVita (www.nella-vita.com), where he provides nutritional counseling for clients with various diseases related to nutrition. At the same time, he also works in the nutrition clinic at the National Oncology Institute, where he deals with the therapeutic nutrition of oncology patients during the treatment of the disease.
Petronela F. Paulová is a graduate of the Master’s program in Human Nutrition at the Science University of the University of Copenhagen in Copenhagen with a bachelor’s degree in the field of Nutritional Therapist, which she completed at the Faculty of Medicine of the Masaryk University in Brno. Currently, in addition to his scientific activities, he is completing his doctoral studies at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the Comenius University. She is the co-author of the dietetic book for patients “Diets for diseases of the esophagus, stomach and duodenum”, expert nutritional articles and scientific foreign publications. He lectures at domestic and foreign conferences and collaborates with companies such as Nutricia, PlanEat or DnaEra and is currently preparing a television program with the preparation of recipes for hospital diets and diseases in cooperation with TV Doktor. She is the founder of the Instagram profile “petronela_nutrition”, where she is dedicated to the popularization of science, nutrition and nutritional therapy, while sharing evidence-based nutritional information along with nutritionally balanced recipes and inspiration for appropriate eating, and at the same time dispelling myths about nutrition. As part of spreading awareness about appropriate diet and, above all, the nutrition of oncology patients, he gives interviews in magazines (SME, Hospodárske noviny, Téma, MadamEva), lectures in organizations (Not cancer, Onkoinfo, Amazonky, Bellisky), interviews in podcasts (Vedátorský podcast, Generali podcast , SME podcasts) and also on TA3 TV, where she talked about the nutrition of oncology patients.
