Professional profile
Dr. Katarína Fiolková specializes in general medicine. She completed her studies in general medicine at the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine of the Comenius University in Martin. During her studies, she completed a number of internships, including the surgical clinic of the University Hospital in Martin, a summer internship in the subjects of surgery and internal medicine at St. Michael’s Hospital in Bratislava, a summer internship in the subject of pediatrics at the University Hospital in Martin, or a summer internship in the subject of gynecology and obstetrics at Semmelweis University University in Budapest.
She began her professional career with full-time doctoral studies at the Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic of the University Hospital in Martin. Subsequently, she worked as a secondary doctor at the Clinic of Occupational Medicine and Toxicology in this hospital. He is currently continuing his residency studies at the University Hospital in Martin in the field of general medicine.
She develops her scientific activity through lecturing, participation in conferences and through scientific publication in the field of Slovak gynecology and obstetrics on the topic of Aquaporins, antidiuretic hormone in relation to fetal homeostasis and regulation of the volume of intra-amniotic fluid, and in the field of Czech gynecology on the topic of Celiac disease as a possible cause of some gynecological -obstetric diseases.
